Hello!

My name is Terri Schlegel-David and I am honored to be running for Greenfield City Council in 2026. My goals are to:

🌾 Preserve Our Rural Character: Support thoughtful updates to our Comprehensive Plan that welcome new opportunities while protecting Greenfield’s rural charm.

⏱️ Focus on Action & Results: Bring a prepared, constructive, and efficient approach to every meeting so the council stays focused on solving problems and getting things done for residents.

💰Champion Responsible Spending: Exercise smart fiscal stewardship to protect taxpayer dollars and prioritize key projects.

Professional experience

My professional career has been rooted in a commitment to public service and community stewardship. As the Associate Vice President of Marketing Programs and Services at the University of Minnesota Foundation, I am proud to serve our state by supporting Minnesota’s flagship land-grant public research university.

Every day, I lead a dedicated team of communications professionals to build meaningful connections across our state, collaborating directly with alumni, donors, faculty, and community partners. My work centers on listening to diverse constituents, understanding needs, and stewarding resources responsibly to drive long-term impact.

I am running for City Council because I believe that same thoughtful leadership, effective communication, and dedication to public service belongs right here in Greenfield.

Local contributions

My commitment to public service extends right here to our own community. As a member of the Greenfield Parks Commission, I am no stranger to City Hall or the hands-on work it takes to keep our city thriving.

Over the past year, our commission has been hard at work planning and developing the new ballfield at Central Park, as well as thoughtfully updating our memorial. Serving in this role has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to collaborate closely with local leaders, connect with fellow residents, and gain firsthand insight into municipal governance.
